Efficiency
Tarrant Area Food Bank makes maximum use of its resources.
- With a $1.00 donation, we can provide food for 4 meals.
- Of our total income, including the value of the food we handle, 97% goes to programs to stop hunger, and three percent is applied toward administrative expenses and fundraising.
- We increase our productivity with the help of community volunteers. They:
- Lead food drives,
- Inspect, sort and repack unsold food from retailers as well as donations from the community,
- Assist with nutrition education and meals production,
- Help with fundraising events and office work,
- Provide technical and professional expertise and advice.
