KICK THE CAN

KICK THE CAN - First Friday of November  (Nov. 4, 2011)

11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Main Street, Fort Worth, between Third and Fourth Streets

Kick the Can kicks off each year's Holiday Food/Fund Drives for Tarrant Area Food Bank. This lunch-hour event features relay-race teams, local celebrity judges and costumed cheering sections, whose antics are announced by a local radio personality.

In addition, for a donation to the Food Bank, you can order a box lunch prepared by Riscky's Catering. 

Workplaces, schools, associations, civic clubs and others are invited to form teams, free of charge.  The Team Registration DEADLINE is Oct. 21. 

Reserve a spot for your team(s) even if you don't have team names yet.  Teams must register in advance on the online form.

Don't forget to order lunch by Oct. 28.

Event Rules:

• Each team will consist of four (4) individuals.
• Each organization may field up to 3 teams.
• The can must remain in touch with the street at all times.
• Kick the cans, not the competitors or spectators.
• The can must completely pass the barrel before alternate team member can begin kicking.
• Don't hit spectators! An injured spectator is cause for automatic disqualification.
• Keep cheating to a minimum, AND HAVE FUN !!!
