OUR NETWORK OF FOOD AID CHARITIES

More than 300 nonprofit organizations and programs in 13 counties around Fort Worth, Texas obtain much of the food they distribute or serve from Tarrant Area Food Bank. Most of these agencies provide assistance in the form of bags of groceries to take home, hot meals served on-site or snacks served during a group activity.

Types of Agencies

Agencies in the network include:

• Emergency food pantries
• Emergency shelters for victims of abuse
• Soup kitchens
• Low-income day-care centers for children and for adults
• Youth activity programs
• Children's homes
• Senior citizen centers
• Residential treatment programs
• Emergency shelters for homeless
• HIV/AIDS programs
• Disaster relief agencies
• Any other nonprofit agency that provides food to its clients
