Canstruction© 2009
Competition was as fierce as ever at the 11th annual Tarrant County Canstruction© Competition and Exhibition Oct. 11 -18 at North East Mall in Hurst. Eleven teams of architects and engineers designed and built with cans and boxes of food sculptures ranging from the serious to the whimsical as large as 8-feet high and 10 feet square. All sculptures are pictured below.
Awards for Best use of Labels, Best Meal, Structural Ingenuity, Jurors’ Favorite and Honorable Mention were decided by a panel of local celebrities and experts. The winners of these awards will enter photo images of their structures in the national Canstruction© Competition sponsored by the Canstruction© Foundation of the Society for Design Administration.
All Tarrant County Canstruction© Competitions and Exhibits are organized by the Fort Worth Chapters of the Society for Design Administration and the American Institute of Architects.
