NUTRITION
EDUCATION
Tarrant Area Food Bank offers nutrition and food safety education as a complement to its distribution of nutritious food. Our purpose is to:
- Help low-income families and individuals receive the full nutritional value of food they obtain from food pantries and grocery stores. Our long-term goal is to reduce, if not eliminate, malnutrition and undernourishment among these community members.
- Help the community provide safe, nutritious food in group settings by offering training in nutrition and food safety for home day care providers and childcare centers.
