FOOD DRIVE TRANSPORTATION
During the community-wide Food/Fund Drive in November and December, Tarrant Area Food Bank relies on volunteers to transport large (at least 750 pounds) canned food drive donations; thus we are limited in the transportation we can offer. Smaller food drive donations can be delivered to municipal fire stations.
Any transportation by Food Bank volunteers (only for large food drives of at least 750 pounds) will be handled by ZIP Code on DESIGNATED DATES.
SCHOOLS' food donations will be picked up according to the ZIP Code schedule.
Schools and any other group that needs help with transportation, need to complete the lower half of the Transportation Form and submit it online or by fax at least 2 weeks in advance of the DESIGNATED DATES for your ZIP Code.
REMEMBER: The ideal containers for transporting food to Tarrant Area Food Bank are boxes for computer paper and banana boxes from your grocery store. (Paper and plastic bags tear easily.) Please do NOT overfill boxes - 40 pounds is the limit. If you cannot lift a container, neither can TAFB volunteers.
